For the self-employed with employees
You work alongside your team. Their hours keep themselves.
One or two employees, no office, no HR department. They tap on their phones as they start and finish; you fill in nothing, and the month is ready for your gestoría.
In short
Being self-employed changes nothing for the people you hire: from your first employee, you keep a daily record of each one's start and finish, as any company does. What you do not have is time for it. Your hands are busy with the work itself, not with sheets and spreadsheets.
In Tiemio your employees tap Start work and Finish work on their own phones, and you see who is working on yours, even when you are out. A forgotten tap is fixed with a correction you approve, and at the end of the month the timesheet is already added up: signed in the app, ready as a PDF for your records and a spreadsheet for payroll.
A day in a small hair salon
08:55
Maite opens up and taps
Ane runs the salon and cuts hair all day herself. Maite taps Start work on her phone as she comes in; Ane is already with her first client and does not stop.
10:00
Iker's first day: a code, and he is in
Iker starts today. Between two clients, Ane shares a one-time code from her phone; he enters it in the app and taps Start work. No form, no hardware: two minutes, and his hours are on the record.
14:00
Lunch, recorded as a break
Maite taps Pause for lunch and Resume when she is back. The day shows the time worked and the break, without anyone writing anything down.
Friday
A forgotten finish
Iker left in a hurry and forgot to finish. He asks for a correction from his phone with the real time and a reason, and Ane approves it between appointments. The original tap stays, with the correction beside it.
End of month
Signed, and sent to the gestoría
Ane taps Sign and send; Maite and Iker read their month and sign it in the app. She downloads the spreadsheet for her gestoría and keeps the PDF. Ten minutes, not an evening.

What a one-person business needs from the record
Your employees join with a code
Share a one-time code from your phone, or enter their email and Tiemio sends it. They open the app, enter the code, and their first tap is recorded. No hardware, nothing to configure.
Who is working, when you are out
At the wholesaler, with a client off-site or on your day off, your phone shows each person working, on a break or not working, since when, and their hours today. You know the shop opened on time without calling to check.
The month, ready for your gestoría
Download the month as a PDF for your records or as a spreadsheet for payroll. Each document is signed, and anyone can check it is genuine at tiemio.com/verify.
What the law asks of the self-employed
The same as of any employer in Spain, from the first employee.
- each employee's start and finish
- Every day
- each employee's start and finish
- kept, and shown on request
- 4 years
- kept, and shown on request
- employee is enough: no exception for small businesses

- employee is enough: no exception for small businesses
- the fine for no record, or a wrong one
- €751–€7,500
- the fine for no record, or a wrong one
When you hire someone, you are their employer, whether you trade as a company or in your own name. The record shows the time each employee starts and finishes work, every day. It is kept for four years and is available to the employees, their representatives and the Labour Inspectorate (article 34.9 of the Workers' Statute). There is no exception for the self-employed or for small teams.
The record covers the people you employ, not you. Not keeping it, or keeping it wrongly, is a serious infringement (article 7.5 LISOS), fined from €751 to €7,500 (article 40.1.b), the same for a business of one employee as for one of fifty.
Key point
Small does not mean exempt: a record made on the day, by your employees, is the one that costs you no time.

All the questions about the working-time recordWho must record, what, for how long, the fines, and the digital record that is coming.Questions
I am self-employed with one employee. Do I have to keep the record?
Yes. The daily record applies to every employer from the first employee, whether you trade as a company or in your own name. It shows each employee's start and finish every day and is kept for four years.
Do I have to record my own hours?
No. The record covers the people you employ. Tiemio records your employees' hours; your own are not on it.
Can I sign up without a company?
Yes. When you sign up, choose that you employ people and give your trading name or your own; a tax ID is optional. Then invite your employees with a code, and they join from their own phones.
What does it cost for one or two employees?
You pay for each person you employ, monthly or yearly, and nothing for yourself. Start with a free trial, with no card and nothing to cancel.
Does Tiemio do payroll or Social Security?
No. Tiemio keeps the hours: each day, each month's total, and the signed timesheet. Your gestoría works from the monthly spreadsheet or PDF.
